COREMAX 71LT is an all-positional flux cored rutile wire designed to be used with pure CO₂ gas and has extra low hydrogen levels (H5) to provide an exceptionally smooth and stable arc with a fast- freezing slag system with the alloy condition, it can provide the impact value requirement under 40˚C. In the welding performances, less spatter, stable arc, easy removal, and excellent X-ray detection could be all obtained. It is applied in welding offshore platforms, storage vessels, and structures.

• Diameter: 1.2mm and 1.6mm.
• Spool packaging: 15kg.

Notes on usage:

• Use a DC power source with constant voltage and polarity DCEP.
• Use CO₂ for shielding gas for general applications. Use of mixed gas is prohibited.
• Clean up water, rust, and oil on the base metal to avoid porosity and crack.
• Proper protection of the welding place against the wind is necessary during outdoor welding.
• Proper storage is recommended after opening the packing.
