COREMAX 71

A gas-shielded, general purpose, flux-cored welding wire designed for all position welding of mild steel 490Mpa high strength steel in applications requiring moderate levels of strength and very good notch toughness. Suitable for butt and fillet welding of hulls, storage tanks, mechanical and construction steel structures, and bridges.

COREMAX 71 is a gas shielded, general purpose, flux cored welding wire designed for all position welding of mild steel 490Mpa high strength steel in applications requiring moderate levels of strength and very good notch toughness. Stable arc good slag removal and excellent X-ray quality could be obtained. Suitable for butt and fillet welding of hulls, storage tanks, mechanical and construction steel structures, and bridges.

 

Operational and Packaging Data:

  • Diameter: 1.0mm, 1.2mm, and 1.6mm.
  • Spool packaging: 15kg.

 

Notes on Usage and Welding Condition:

  • Use a DC power source with constant voltage and polarity DCEP.
  • Use CO2 for shielding gas for general applications. Use of mixed gas is prohibited.
  • Increase 1-2 Volt when the welding cable length is more than 15 meters.
  • Proper storage is recommended when opening the packing.
