MC-309LSiR (TIG)
A 309L type austenitic stainless steel with a modified higher silicon level increases puddle fluidity ensuring better tie-ins and potentially higher welding speed. Typical applications include welding of AISI 304L, and 316L in chemical, oil, and gas refineries and welding of dissimilar base metals of stainless and carbon steels.

Operational and Packaging Data:
- Rod size: 1.2mm, 1.6mm, 2.0mm, 2.4mm and 3.2mm.
- Wire packaging: 5kg.
Notes on usage:
- For the GTAW process, use DC-EN, Pure Argon.
- For the GMAW process, Spray Transfer or Short Circuit Transfer mode can be used.
- 98% Argon + 2% O2 shielding gas is recommended in the GMAW process.
