Power Weld Sdn Bhd was founded in Malaysia in 1985 as a manufacturer of SMAW electrodes. Power Weld Sdn Bhd became a member of Leeden Group in March 2008 and was subsequently rebranded to Leeden Powerweld Sdn Bhd in 2014.

In 2008, Powerweld Sdn Bhd joined Leeden Group and was subsequently rebranded as Leeden Powerweld Sdn Bhd in 2014. After Leeden Group became a member of Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation (NSHD), one of the largest industrial gas manufacturers in Japan, Leeden Powerweld began to export its welding products to NSHD’s related companies.
Today, Leeden Powerweld is one of the leading suppliers of welding wires and electrodes in Malaysia. Owing to its excellent quality, Powerweld products are also exported to other countries in South-East Asia, contributing to 50% of Leeden Powerweld’s total sales to date.
